Rex Ryan On Why Darrelle Revis Is The Best:
“He’s the best because he competes every day. Even when I’m out there throwing balls in a walk through setting, he’ll pick those off all the time. He maximizes it. That guy will have no regrets when his career is over.”
Darrelle Revis Answers “Can Mark Sanchez Lead The Jets To Where They Want To Go?” “Yeah, he can. If he got us to two AFC Championship games at a young age, he can. He’s improved a lot and he’s going to keep on improving. Mark works very hard. This guy is here all the time. Usually here with me. He does what he does. Don’t write him off.” We agree with Revis but feel like many do, that Sanchez has to take hold from the start of camp to quiet the Tebow talk down. (Taken with instagram)
“I’m a corporation too.”
Jets CB Darrelle Revis
Revis is right and after watching the cold hard reality of seeing vets like Leon Washington and Alan Faneca sent packing over the past few years, the all world corner can’t be faulted for using the leverage he has as the leagues best cover guy right now.
The Jets however, dont stand on the same solid ground they did chemistry wise the last time Revis had contract issues (we all remember it playing out on Hard Knocks) prior to the 2010 season. Whatever can be done by the club must done to resolve any discord, quelling this potential distraction before training camp starts.
The Jet Report Goes “No Huddle” On Today’s Events
Here are a few quick thoughts with the clock winding down and no timeouts left…
Revis Contract Talk: is never a good thing. Address it now or run the risk of
a serious distraction and chemistry killer.
Sanchez Impressing Coaches In The Classroom: Preparation is key but the real test will be how he handles his first big mistake during a preseason or regular season game. Impress coaches then, and the road gets easier for 6.
Wayne Hunter Doesn’t Need Motivation From Linemen Signings: We agree and have faith that 78 will rebound in ‘12, but the team needs depth. The additions are a win win situation.
Stephen Hill involved in another Big Play: Last week from Sanchez this week from Tebow. We love any “big play” tag that is linked to Hill. The Jets need playmakers on offense in the worst way.
OTA’s: Happen in May and June. Let’s all keep the results from them in perspective.
“I don’t like losing. Pretty much, every time I’m competing, I’ll pretty much do whatever it takes to win. I’m pretty competitive.”

While rock star QB Tim Tebow lands on Page Six over a mystery girlfriend, the Jets sit just weeks away from mandatory workouts. There’s no hiding when it comes to headlines in tabloids for Gang Green. Nonetheless, with the staff changes and quiet personnel additions that have taken place, we do expect a different mindset from the club right out of the gates in June. (Taken with instagram)
“Testaverde Back To Throw…” loved hearing that. Vinny the Jet was a leader in his own way and hey, we all know he threw HIS share of interceptions in his career. 1998 nonwithstanding. The point is, there is plenty of time for Mark Sanchez to come into his own. Vinny is proof of that. (Taken with instagram)
